XCEM ALPHAPANEL
XCEM ALPHAPANEL is a lightweight, fibre reinforced precast concrete wall panel, engineered and manufactured at our Southern Highlands facility from XCEM's own concrete technology. It delivers the fire performance, acoustic separation, thermal mass and solid feel of concrete walling at a fraction of the weight of conventional precast, installed by hand by conventional trades, with no crane, no formwork, no propping and no wet trades on the critical path.
ALPHAPANEL wall systems are independently tested and certified for structural adequacy, fire performance and acoustic performance to the requirements of the National Construction Code. ALPHAPANEL wall systems are CodeMark certified.

ACOUSTICS AND SALEABLE AREA
ALPHAPANEL's acoustic performance is not a mass story. XCEM's unique concrete mix was engineered for sound, and it delivers insulation well beyond what a 35mm panel should achieve: a single ALPHAPANEL sheet outperforms a 75mm AAC panel at less than half the thickness. The result is the slimmest footprint intertenancy and corridor wall systems available in the market: corridor walls from 88mm and intertenancy walls from 147mm, against 144mm and 228mm for typical AAC systems.
Multiplied across a floor plate, those millimetres become saleable floor area. Substituting AAC or plasterboard wall systems with ALPHAPANEL returns on average an additional 1.5 square metres per apartment in Net Saleable Area*. That is area the developer sells, from the same slab. Acoustic performance is independently assessed by PKA Consulting from testing at a NATA accredited laboratory, with tested build-ups to suit NCC separation requirements between sole occupancy units.
FIRE
ALPHAPANEL wall systems are fire tested by CSIRO and Warringtonfire, both NATA accredited laboratories. The base tested external configuration achieves an FRL of -/120/90 with a single layer of 13mm standard plasterboard, and the panel itself is deemed non-combustible. Further tested configurations, current test reports and project-specific fire documentation are available from XCEM.
